Monday (The second half)

Javier invited us to drink mate in a restaraunt in town. We all walked together and enjoyed mate with bread and dulce de leche. Afterwards, we went on a trek through the center of town, and played 'tourist'. It's FREEZING here at night, so I'm thinking of buying a warmer jacket today.. we'll see if I get around to it!

Monday.

Today was my first Spanish class. My teacher comes to the house where I leave and brings materials necessary to teach me. There is a room by the front door with a table and a white board where she's able to write examples in Spanish and English. Right now, we are studying Argentina's history including El gaucho and Yerba Mate.
After class, me and two of the students walked to the store to buy food for lunch. It's tradition to cook together and split the cost. We made fried chicken and beef with salad and bread, and of course Coca Cola to drink. We were invited by a man named Javier to go to something "Very Argentine" but it's a surprise. We are leaving in about 20 min. to go see what it is.
