Today was fun. I went to the mountains with the Fulfer family, and we experienced a German Influenced tourist town. The weather was perfect today for outdoor adventures. It was sunny, but around 65 degrees or so (I'm just guessing) so we could actually take our coat off if we wanted to. There was a chocolate festival going on, and we just so happened to be there the final day. Inside of the building were TONS of cakes, chocolates, chocolate fondue, hot chocolate and other sweets to try. However, it was 15 pesos for a slice of cake, and that's a little pricy. Instead, we went to a small restaurant to get coffee and a pastry, but they changed the prices on their menus since it was a big weekend full of tourists. Alas, the cake there was 14 pesos. Gotta love fluctuating prices in a tourist trap. Anyway, it was fun to walk around and window shop.
This was one of many animal skins that we found along the way. Animal skins (especially cow) are very popular here.
These were the stairs leading up to see the view of the lake.
This is an REAL hoof from a goat I believe, turned into a mate cup! It was super weird.. they hollow out the hoof and line it with wood, and you drink mate from this thing!
All of these pictures were taken inside of the chocolate festival! It was packed, but the smell of chocolate was to die for!
