Love Notes...

I've decided to make a growing list of the things I'm loving about Argentina so far:

 1. The house keys here look like ancient war axes(The picture is from the house I live in, the Residencia Big House.) These are what typical keys look like here! Cool huh!?
 2. We don't use a dryer to dry our clothes, we hang them outside
 3. Meter Maids, as we call them in the U.S. are called "Ticket Witches"  here
 4. No microwave. I didn't realize how dependent I was until I came here. I'm loving making tea in the teapot, as opposed to heating water in the microwave ;)
 5. The espresso here is unlike any other.. it's DIVINE
 6. Argentina is heavily influenced by Italy and Spain, so we eat a lot of pastas and Italian dishes
 7. Everyone is greeted with a kiss on the right cheek. Also, a kiss when you say goodbye.
 8. It's custom when one person buys food for everyone to eat, every splits the cost. So example: we're all making pizza right now, and we give our share of the money. It's not rude to ask for money when you buy everything.
 9. The milk comes in bags. Along with yogurt and other things. You cut a tiny hole in the top and set the bag into a plastic "milk pourer" ( I don't know the actual name of it, if there is one..) Here's a picture of it! Funny huh??! :)
10. College is free! The government says everyone has a right to free education. I WISH THE US HAD THIS THOUGHT.
