Today we went to Carlos Paz, about 30 minutes away. We saw a rodeo Gaucho style where men dress in traditional Gaucho clothes, and try to ride a wild horse for 8 seconds. There was a band that played music according to the speed of the horse and the attitude. It was pretty fun. After, we all went to lunch and the waiter gave me special attention since I had light hair :)
I ate raviollis with chicken (so I thought the chicken would be INSIDE) but there was a large piece of chicken laying on top of the pasta. You cut the meat as you go, and it was YUMMMMY. We explored the waterfall, and found a cute little cafe where we sat for awhile and drank coffee while eating a variety of torts. There was music playing in the cafe, so Coen (David and Kristen Fulfer's 4 year old son) and I decided to dance. All in all, it was a long day out in the cold but it was a fabulous day. Ohh.. we also drove through the 'Heart of Argentina' which is the exact CENTER of the country. That was a good photo oppurtunity but we were following the Fulfers in front of us. Next time!
Here is the chocolate brownie, with dulce de leche, merange and vanillia ice cream. Of course, the cappochino was a must. The little glass is soda water that is served with every coffee in Argentina. Sipping on the soda water after drinking coffee helps with any aftertaste (I think.)
