| Vendor selling bracelets. That's my hand! |
There's a flea market every weekend in downtown Cordoba, and I made it a point to check it out tonight. The city closes about 3 street down to traffic so vendors can set up their booths. You can find anything from jewelry, to books, to incense to plants. I bought a few things here and there but a friend warned me about the 'Gringo Tax'. Since I have light hair and lighter skin, they assume I'm a tourist and raise the price. "Ohh.. this is.. uhh... 50 pesos!" But as soon as I walk away, he tells a local it's 30 pesos. LAME. I bought some trinkets to take back home, but I can't say what they are because you might be reading! : )
I couldn't pass this up! We found a guy selling a bunch of old glasses, what do you think!?
Check out this ice cream! We stopped at an ice cream shop after the flea market (yes the ice cream shops are open until midnight or so) and these people orded this crazy looking thing! I have NO IDEA how they stretch the ice cream out this long, then they dip it into chocolate!
