So the art museum was open today :) I went by myself and payed 3 pesos to get in, which is nothing. In U.S. currency that's less a dollar.. less than a DOLLAR. The museum had multiple floors, and many exhibits. I think I was the only person in there for awhile, since I went in the middle of the day on a Tuesday. Like shopping in Argentina, walking through a museum is just as hectic. You have eyes following your every little move. It's strangely irritating. I'm aware they are just doing their job, but how do you expect some one to enjoy browsing some paintings with guards looking at you like you're a suspected criminal? I got 'in trouble' so many times. I was taking photos, and one of the guards (who looked bored out of his mind and was probably looking for something to do) came up to me and explained something along the lines of : 'It annoys the artists if you focus on one piece of art in your photos. If you want to take pictures you have to get multiple pieces in your photo, or a panoramic shot.' Ahhhh okay... gotcha....
I was taking pictures of something else on the next floor and I could hear footsteps behind me. Ohhh please no, another security guard has highly important information on museum etiquette. I'm the ONLY person in here! No flash. Ok, got ya.. I respect that.. I'm sorry. This was the exact moment that I discovered 'museum mode' on my camera.
I guess that was strike two for them, because I basically got followed the rest of the way through. I actually left early because it was so unacceptably awkward and down right frustrating. However, I did see some cool stuff :)
